Aspirations

Please react to the following questions in a fluent, concise, and thought-provoking response. Make sure you write with solid conventions and answer each question:

A few summers ago, I was at the Crytal Cathedral in Anaheim, California. A quote that always resonates in my head, hung on a giant cement wall asking, "What dreams would you dream if you knew you could not fail?"

What would you achieve if you knew you could not fail? What are your dreams, hopes, aspirations for life? What do you long for? How can those dreams be attained? What happens if you don't achieve them?

If I could not fail at anything I attempted to do I would be one of the most well known tattoo artists in the nation and I would travel the world. I dream that one day I will be HAPPILY married and have healthy children. I long for a man that will treat me the way I deserve to be treated, I want a man who respects me, a man that can support me, and always knows exactly what to say. I want him to be my best friend and someone that keeps the relationship spontaneous. I want to find a man I can grow old with. I know my dreams are pretty wild, but I know with the drive I have and with God looking out for me I can achieve anything. And if it so happens my dreams don't come true, then I know things happen for a reason and it clearly wasn't meant to be, it is what it is.

If I knew that I could not fail I would dream anything, everything; there’s nothing I wouldn’t try. I think that one of the main reasons that compel people to do or to not do something is fear of not succeeding. However if you knew that you would not fail there should be no reason not to go for it.
If I could do anything without failing I would get into the Julliard School for fine arts and then I would be a principle in the American Ballet Theatre. If I could achieve anything without failure I would achieve true happiness. Everyone has happiness in their life, but everyone also has struggle, pain, and sadness. If I would not fail I would want true happiness where I am at peace with the world.
I hope in life that I find a job that I truly enjoy doing. I hope that I can travel the world and see and experience as many places and things that I can, and I hope that I have the courage to follow my heart no matter the circumstances.
Your dreams can be attained by thinking positive, and by allowing yourself to go for what you really want.
If your dreams seem to have not come true; have patience they might still be in the works. In the end, if you couldn’t grasp what you aspired for, don’t let it keep you down. Everything happens for a reason. It may not be clear to you at the moment why you couldn’t do or have what you so desperately wanted, but all will reveal itself in due time.

This may seem weird, but in a sense I want to fail. It has made me who I am today. It makes me stronger and work harder for what I want. If I couldn't fail then what kind of person would I be? I may feel invincible, but I don't think I would feel the amazing feeling you get when you succeed. You may get lucky and succeed the first time, or it may take you five, or even 100 but I don't like giving up on something I have worked so hard for.
If the opportunity arose today, then it would be different. I would want to cheer in college, marry out of college and live in Colorado. Since I am not one who plans their whole lives from when they are little, I don’t have much of an idea what I want to study and do the rest of my life. I just want to be happy, healthy and help people. There are so many struggling families, people, animals... everything you can think of is struggling in some way. I know that everything cannot be perfect, but even the slightest bit of help and care can truly go a long way. I want to be someone people can turn to, to count on, and I will always be there for anyone. No matter if they are my best friend, or a stranger, young or old. So many people have helped me so much and have changed my life for the better; I want to do the same for them and other people.
I hope that I can do this by doing little things, and big things. With my occupation, whatever that may be, I want to be helping in someway or another. I don't believe that money is the best thing in life. I think happiness is and living a good, successful life. Everyone has a different definition for that. To me it means to live life to the fullest, do what you can to help others, take every chance you get and don't be afraid to fail.
If I don’t achieve these dreams, then I hope I have made a difference in at least one person’s life. As long as I tried my hardest, then I will just have to live with it, and keep trying. You're never too old to lend a helping hand.

If I could not fail, I could take more chances than I do now. I would share my opinions more openly. Also, I would go to a prestigious college and confidently be my self there in order to meet friends and to eventually become the person I want to be the rest of my life. Without failure, I would become a very successful entrepreneur. I don’t exactly what my business would be, but it would have something to do with what I enjoy, believe and want to share. Also, I would want to design and begin my own clothing line. This line would perfectly reflect my style and would be unique.
I hope to do well in college, and from there begin my career. I want my career to be something that I enjoy, but that is challenging. Along the way, when I am ready, I want to find someone to marry that is perfect for me. We will have an equal partnership in our marriage. I want to have kids and live in an area where they will be able to get to know many different kinds of people and lifestyles. I want my kids to be close with their cousins, aunts, uncle and grandparents. I hope to be financially stable so that I can support my kids in their passions, so that one day, they too can live a successful life.
I believe that with hard work, these dreams could be achieved, but I also believe that sometimes that may not get you as far as hoped. When achieving this, I think it is important to remain a good person and not put that aside for your own success, because in the end you will be admired more for what kind of person you were, rather than your position in work.
If these dreams are not achieved, I will definitely be disappointed. I think that throughout my entire life I will be disappointed when I am reminded of my failure. However, along the way, I probably will have learned things or met people that influenced my life in for good or bad. I will have gained memories that will never be forgotten. But I think that if I put an honest effort forward in achieving those dream, I will be okay with the results, even with the disappointment. Life is not perfect and we can’t expect everything to go our way, and knowing this will help me accept my experiences.

If I knew I could not fail I would climb the seven highest peaks in the world. Right now my aspirations are to climb all the fourteeners in Colorado and I would really love to go on to climb higher and more difficult mountains. I think that if i could attain these goals I would feel so proud of myself and come out a better and more hardworking person. Climbing mountains is a really rewarding and breathtaking experience which I truly enjoy and get a great sense of belonging from. I can attain these goals by keeping my head up and by working hard to get the results that I am trying to get. If I do not achieve these goals I am going to be really disappointed in myself but I would keep trying and working towards them. Other dreams of mine is to find a man I can spend the rest of my life with and who loves me for who I really am and treats me how I deserve to be treated. I also hope to have healthy kids who grow up into wonderful people and I also hope to work in a job that I am excited about and that I love doing.

If I could not fail at anything I attempted to do I would get into Harvard Law School and become one of the most successful lawyers in the world. I dream that one day I will become very rich to help my family, and I would like to earn that money by doing something that I love to do. I long for the respect that i should get when ever I meet some one new, and that they don't judge me on my appearence, or the way I can act. My dreams can be some what crazy, but with my friends and my family supporting me I can achieve anything. And if some how my dreams don't come true, then I know everything happens for a reason, and it wasn't meant to be.

If i knew i couldn't fail at anything I'd do what anyone would, I'd accomplish the impossible. I'd start by finding a way to read peoples minds (only when i want) then i'd find a way to fly after that I'd be unstoppable it may sound greedy but i know i strive for it all I'd climb the highest mountain, be the first for everything, sing louder songs, make great things, find a cure for everything. I'd find the meaning of life and a way to impact all and solve the worlds problem, i'd want to show everyone else how they too can learn not to fail.
I've always been dreamer and i have big plans. I plan on having a job that makes me happy im not positive on what that'll be but i know it'll involve traveling and not getting stuck in a 9 to 5 routine,my mind wonders way to much. I don't want to grow up bored and dreading going to work every morning i want to make a difference and leave a mark. I'm going do what i can to end up doing something i love and im good at but i know my ideal view of life doesnt easily fit in with todays society and occasionally reality will put me in my place but thats ok i think from failure and loss we only learn more and if i easily got what i want would i really wanted it that much? probably not. What happens happens and im ok with that.

If I could do anything and not fail, I would become president of the United States. I would do this because I see all of these things around me that directly and indirectly affect me, and in my present position i have no control of these forces. If I were president I could do whatever is in my power to create the ideal leadership. Having control of our nation's actions would be ideal because I can do what is necessary to keep our nation safe and rational. Other than that, I hope that I can go to college, get married, and be able to afford to live comfortably and slightly leisurely. I long for independence and security. In order to attain my dreams, I have to work hard and never look back, always keeping my eyes on the prize. If I don't attain my dream of being president I probably won't be too upset, but if I don't achieve all of those other things, I would be very disappointed in myself and I would regret not doing what I needed to do to be where I want to be.

If I could do anything I wanted to, I would be amazing at bass guitar and travel in a van with my best friends. We would tour the states and eventually travel to other continents like Africa. We wouldn't be a huge band because I don't want to be famous. We would sleep at peoples houses who go to our concerts so we don't have to pay for hotels. In the winter, me and my friends would go to Loveland Pass everyday and ride in nipple deep powder. I hope that one day I will meet someone who loves me and we will get married and be happy. I want to be a fireman and stop all of the forest fires in the summer and go snowboarding in the winter. If I don't achieve my dream, I will shoot for plan B, military.

If I knew I could not fail at anything I would achieve many things. I would want to do so much in my life I wouldn’t be able to fit it all in. First of all I would go to school to be a Doctor. I would love to finish that schooling and go around the world helping people that needed medical help. I would be doing a good deed while I would be traveling the world and experiencing new places at the same time. Another thing I would want to do would to be to swim and make the Olympic team. That would be so fun to experience something like that. I just want to live a happy life. My real dreams that I have for my life are to go to college to become a physician assistant for a family doctor. I have always wanted to do something in the medical field so I strive to do something along those lines when it comes to my career. When it comes to my personal life my hopes and dreams are to get married to an amazing guy that loves me for who I am. I want to have healthy kids and live a happy life. I want to have all my family and friends around to make that happy life possible. My dreams can be attained by going to college and working hard. It will be hard work but it will pay off in the long run. I can’t really do anything to find an amazing guy. I guess he will come along one day into my life. If I don’t achieve these dreams in my life I will deal with it as it comes up in my life. Life will always bring hard times, I just have to deal with them and try to move and try something better in my life. Yes it would be disappointing, but everything happens for a reason.

Knowing I could not fail reasures me that in order to make a difference in ones life, all that would have to happen would be to keep my heart drivin and passionate. I could accomplaish anything! There is such a broad spectrum of things I would do to make this world better or make a difference in someones life or opinion. People take for granted the permission we have to control over situations. I know for a fact I would take advantage of this oppertunity and change as many things as possible in that spand of time. I would not stick to one thing. In my path I see extreme influence. If I could not fail at one thing, it would be to change a life, because one changed life for the better will ripple into effecting the whole world one day. The peace and love for one another would spread. If I could not fail at one thing, just one; I would not fail at just that, to accept a generation with open arms and to listen to eachother in my eyes is important. You may think this sounds like a far fetched dream, but it is MY dream. I long to teach the people about my thoughts and experiences throughout my days to see if only they would grow from it and pass down their stories about life and other feelings. These dreams of mine are unatainable to some. I believe there is good in souls upon everyone and although a million people will never read this, and never open their minds, ONE will. That is all I can hope for at this moment in time is for that someone to think... about life, and about faith in their worldly neighbors. Generocity is a gift we are sent from the stars to help ourselves and other ones. That, is all I can hope for.

I would achieve to be an amazing dentist having a loving, supporting husband with two children. Since the college search has begun at my house it has a lot of what if’s. But my dream remains the same to be a dentist, go to The University of Nebraska at Lincoln, get married to the love of my life my best friend, have two children, and travel; really in life I just want to be the best I know I can be, never say I can’t! I long for my dream to become a reality all due to my eight grade career day when I visited my dentist, Dr. Manske. Before then I dreamed of being a prima ballerina or a baby doctor, but dentistry just shined over those old dreams. My dreams can be attained by letting one door close because another door will open and always trying something new, you never know unless you try. If I don’t achieve my dream I will be saddened but I will pick my self up and move on as sad as it is that’s life. I would become a teacher instead of a dentist, which would be so much fun teaching student’s new topics (Mrs. Comp you’re amazing)! But I know whatever the out come will be for it was for the best and it just wasn’t meant to be for me and being a teacher is. Well who knows, I will just have live my life and find out what I majored in college. God know my path and I trust his path of my life.

I would have confidence like no tomorrow if I knew I would always achieve my goals and ambitions. I would live life fearless if I knew I couldn't lose or get hurt on the way. My dreams right now at 17 are to go to college and to make my family proud and also myself knowing I can do it. Also to marry Travis Pastrana, but that is quit a hefty dream which I know won't happen, but it is still great to think about. But in the end, when I die doing something freaking awesome I hope in those last moments I will be completely satisifed with my life and knowing that I lived to the fulliest with absolutely no regrets. My dreams can be obtained only by myself with hard work and belief in myself. Because anything is possible. If I don't achieve my goals then I will know that they weren't the right goals for me and that the universe has a way of working everything out for the better.

My dream in life is be an artist whether I teach it, live it, share it, or create it. I aspire to some how change the world with my art. Maybe I become an art teacher and I inspire my students. If I run an art gallery and motivate people by finding and showing art. Do my own art and have it move people. I long to show the world what I see, express how I the world looks through my eyes maybe even how I want or wish the world looked like. I am currently doing my own art, in class and on my own time. I do things out of the recycle, for a cleaner earth. I do things out of junk and random nick nacks to show everything has beauty. Art allows me to express what I can’t in words. I’m planning on going to RMCAD for undergrad, and RISD for grad school. I’m not sure what will happen, my life is so focused on art. I don’t really want to think about failure, I like to believe I can. If I don’t how will I ever achieve my dreams?
Also when I have enough money, I want to co-find an orphanage with my sister (she isn’t currently aware). It would be named after my grandmother, Lucille. It would be a place that is crammed pack with love. There are so many children already in this world, and to be able to have the chance to share a little happiness with them would be more than rewarding. I can already imagine it perfectly; it would be on a ranch with horses and animals, all sorts of dogs running around free. Kids everywhere playing and having a good time, to have the resources for finding them great homes. I couldn’t imagine a better way to spend my life.

Maria A. said...

There is one thing I always wanted to make a huge success on and that is to help people that are living a life that is not worth living. An example of that is to bring children out any sort of abuse within their living environments and transfer them into better, much safer living environment that they do deserve to live in. It breaks my heart knowing that innocent children are dealing with situations where sometimes they can’t have a say in it at all. If I could not fail at this, I would definitely do this showing that I could make a difference.

Another dream would be to stop all aids in Africa. If this was possible to do, I would make Africa a healthier place and safer to be in. Why do innocent people get stuck with all the bad? This should not happen, it’s just not fair.

One of the last dreams I would like to mention is to become a social therapist for several different conditions. I have seen a few shows on t.v., one of them is called THE CLEANER which was something I couldn’t walk away from. This show is about alcohol and drug abuse and helping those who are in the worst conditions. If I could achieve helping and healing those who got into those situations in their life that are too hard for them to recover by themselves, I would feel great just knowing I could do that. If I know I could not fail, just knowing I could help anyone who steps into my little office and become quite successful doing this, many people would have much more help knowing I am their therapist. Doesn’t matter on the addict or the male or female hurt I would help them, unless it was someone completely crazy that needs to be stuck in a room with no color but white, couldn’t deal with that kind of help in my life, too intense.

So overall, I would say if I could never fail at helping human beings in almost any situation, I would do it. I would long for a better world, one that does not need so many fears in life because of someone they know or be stuck with some terrible sickness not even deserved.

P.S. Don’t worry about my email, I figured out I was typing the address in wrong as compers6@blogspot.com instead of compers6.blogspot.com honest mistake.

If i knew i could not fail, I would be a great preacher of a generation and help all that i could. Open up offices around the world, set up mission trips to anywhere. I couldn't fail at it, right? So why not? I would be happily married in a similar manner to what Grace said. I want healthy and happy kids, who respect not only their parents, but God and people. Money...sure i guess i would like to be well off, just being a preach doesn't mean that you have to live the ultimate modest lifestyle. I would just aspire to be all that i want, of course keeping my emotions and some desires in check so i can get there.
Since i am a faithful man, i would like to say. And in being so, you have to realize that, you don't go around waiting all the time for heaven to come around, but with your head down. You can ask for strength and help whenever you need it. Come boldly to the throne.
But in a secular since, you have to try and you have to work at. Never give up hope, not even the slightest bit, or you could lose it. Keep the dream in your heart, and you never know you could be surprised. Start to expect it is going to happen. If you don't achieve them, then so be it. With a great attitude it won't matter and keep your eyes on the next prize.

If i could do anything, absolutly anything, I would want to travel the whole world. I wouldn't want to miss out on anything. I would visit different countries where i could see different cultures and experience as much as possible. I would also try new things like sky diving and all kinds of new food. If I knew I couldn't fail, I would play college volleyball for the Longhorns.
The biggest dream I have for my future is that i end up very happy. I don't want to be miserable for the rest of my life. I want to marry the man of my dreams and have kids and, eventually, grandkids. I want to stay married to the same man my whole life because I don't like divorce. I want to go to a good college where I can begin a career that I actually enjoy.
If I don't attain these dreams, I will just continue to live my life the best I can. Life is never perfect so I should be prepaired for that.

If I knew I could not fail at anything I would try to do the 'scariest' things. There wouldn't be any fear anymore because I would know that I wouldn't need it.
But where would be the fun in the life? How can you get some adrenalin into your blood? How can you have a goal in your life? There wouldn't be any challenge anymore because you would know that you succeed and you would know any end of an action before you start.
I would like to not fail at anything but I don't want to know that I couldn't fail.
I need a goal which I can aim for so that I can try to succeed.

If I could do anything and not fail I would probably try stuff that I dont even think about now, because most of what I'm thinking about is stuff that I like because I am good at it (or at least good enough to be content with myself)now. But if I knew I couldnt fail there would be so much I would do, I would do stuff for fun, like sky dive with only one of those squirrel suits and no parachute. Or invent something that would benifit all humanity. Like a house in a can because i believe everyone. Then all u have to do to have a home is go to the store and buy a house in a can. Then all you would have to do is find some land and push a button and there is a house. I don't think I would find a cure for AIDS or something. Not to sound selfish or anything but AIDS is kind of a form of population control. So if there was no cancer or no AIDS and stuff like that the earth would quickly become over populated and in the end we would loose even more people than we have due to AIDS. I think that if there was a person who could do anything they wanted that they should use it to have fun and enrich the lives of the world by maybe giving everyone an income or something, but not cure all the diseases in the world becase sadly we need them.

Joyce B. said...

If I knew that I couldn’t fail I would find the cure for cancer. This way I could save people and make others happier and healthier. I hope that someday I can find a way to truly help others. I hope that I can learn to be kind to everyone and never judge. I long for the bravery to accomplish my dreams without backing down. The best way to achieve my dreams is probably to keep trying new things even if they frighten me and if I get scared just realize that I could live a long save boring life or I could enjoy ever moment of my life and if it would be cut short at least it was the best it could be. If I fail to achieve my dreams I don’t know what will happen, hopefully I will find the strength to try again or maybe try to achieve other goals. Life is too short to sit back and watch it go by, it is important to jump right in even if it’s scary and make the best of what come flying at you.

Think of what I would want to achieve. To take control of my life and do what I choose to do. I really just want to be relaxed and not stressed out and do what I choose to do in life. Just simply be free to make my own decisions in life not having restrictions by others. By working for them. And if I don't achieve them I don't give up and keep going on.

If I knew I could not fail I would aspire to live in a different country, have a job working for a dive company and basically not worry about life and what it holds for me. My dream is to be able to just relax and have fun. Life is to short to waist, so live it up while you’re young and able to. I don’t care if I have a lot of money, a huge house and perfect life. I want to just be happy and able to get by, I’m fine with just getting by. These dreams can be attained by getting out there and going and finding them. You will never get anywhere in life if you just sit by and try to let them find you. Take risks and learn from the mistakes, the only way for you to get somewhere if through yourself. If you don’t achieve your dreams and goals you will have probably let yourself down, but it is not the end of the world. Life will continue and you will move on to bigger and better aspirations.
